Seasons......

Today as I drove and looked at the beauty in the changing trees a couple thoughts came to mind. The colors are not as bright as usual and I hear that is due to lack of water. And then my mind went to seasons....how each is so different - yet each has a beauty all their own. So I am learning to embrace each season of life - and trying to remember that I need to drink of the living water so that my life might reflect the beauty of the Lord!

Gratitude

As I walk through each day the Lord teaches me more and more about gratitude. I just left the mission and cried all the way home. Tomorrow I go to the soup kitchen. There are so many hurting folks out there - and these are just the ones who we visably see their pain. How many of us hide it - or cover it with "stuff?" So easy to do! I know I have done so! Help me Lord to always look at others as worthy. Help me Lord to not judge and to love - for I am only who am I am today by your grace and the mercy you have shown me. May my life be a reflection of gratitude.

A new name for Rick.......

Ummm...in the old "hood" my dear friends always had a name for my man - One Brick Rick - as he landscaped the driveway - slat Schwarze as he painted the house...and of course the Kings infamous "We" as I always say "we" are doing something......and it tends to be a job for him....

He is now building a fence...his good buddy Jeff Fick suggests "Single Slat Schwarze - but that kinda goes with the painting name he had a few years ago.. it is a vinyl classic gothic to keep his boys in......any suggestions??? Of course my name for him is "My Hard working Honey!!!"

I am new at this but thought it sounded like fun! Great way to post thoughts!

So today......moving....unpacking! Lots of memories! Lots of stuff!! Why do I hold on to it all? I have a horrible time throwing anything out that has a memory attached....like I will forget??

Letting go a little at a time!
